Why Millard Public Schools Foundation?

MPSF has partnered with the Millard Public School district for over 37 years.  It is our mission to give every Millard student the foundation for success.

Why a Women’s Giving Circle?

The Women’s Giving Circle allows for each member to have personal involvement in the decision-making process.  Every dollar creates real and sustainable change by funding programs with Millard Public Schools (MPS).

  • Women create new solutions to problems; they are entrepreneurial through their philanthropy

  • Women change things for the better; they make a difference

  • Women connect with the human face their gift affects; they build partnerships with people who can impact the project they fund

  • Women celebrate – have fun together; celebrate their accomplishments; enjoy the deeper meaning and satisfaction of their philanthropy

How This Works

The MPSF Women’s Giving Circle meets each spring.  Members donate prior to each gathering, and their resources are pooled to provide a grant to a Millard educator who has a solution to ensure the success of both students and staff at MPS. At the gathering, members hear three proposals, narrowed down from those received from around the district.

Members vote that evening to provide funding to one of the projects. If funds remain after the grant awarded, any remaining funds go towards building a balance for a Women’s Giving Circle Endowment Fund.
