A garden teaches patience, responsibility and the joy of watching something grow. Disney Elementary wants to build a raised-bed garden for students in its Alternative Curriculum Program, where they will learn real-life skills by planting, watering and caring for it themselves. The garden will also bring students together through Unified activities and support science lessons on plant life cycles. Your gift of about $800 covers lumber, soil, compost and the first seeds, and the garden will keep growing for years.
