Sometimes a student needs a few calm minutes before they can talk about a hard day. Millard North Middle School wants to equip its sensory room and counseling calm room with tools that help students settle their bodies and minds: two vibration plates for movement-based regulation, two sound machines and two jellyfish aquariums. Watching jellyfish drift gives a student something gentle to focus on during a difficult conversation with a counselor.
