Some of the best science lessons happen with dirt on your hands. Morton Elementary's school garden has been an outdoor classroom where students plant, observe and discover, with STEM lessons led by local nonprofit Whispering Roots.
This summer, an exciting remodel of the school's entrance will remove the old garden, and students are ready to build a new one from the ground up.
Your $1,000 gift provides the wood, soil, plants, mulch and tools to make it happen. All 365 students, including those in the school's English Language Learner and Alternative Curriculum programs, will grow with it for years to come.
Project Cost: $1,000
