Ordering a meal, paying for a ticket, finding your way across town: for most of us, these moments are ordinary. For students in Young Adult Program, they are the skills that open the door to an independent adult life. This 18-21 transition program prepares young adults for work, independent living and full participation in their community.
Students already go on regular outings, and your $1,000 gift will add new experiences made for young adults, like a visit to the Kiewit Luminarium, an evening at the Omaha Community Playhouse, a sports event or a meal at a local restaurant. Each outing turns classroom lessons into real confidence for all 62 students.
Project Cost: $1,000
